A’Bulae St. Paul Wedding | William + Gabrielle

Updated September 2026

Celebrating on the dreamy A’BULAE rooftop for William + Gabrielle’s wedding was like a fairy tale! These two love birds both grew up in the Twin Cities metro and started their love story after both swiping right in 2016. They quickly fell in love after their first coffee date, and William eventually proposed over dinner on their 5th anniversary. William and Gabrielle both love live music, brewery dates, traveling, and binge-watching Insecure and Euphoria. William loves Gabrielle’s tendency to build pillow fortresses when she lies in bed, and Gabrielle is always impressed by William’s ability to accurately impersonate singers (his impression of Hootie and the Blowfish is her favorite). They said their vows on A’Bulae’s rooftop with the St. Paul skyline as the backdrop.

WHY WE LOVE A’BULAE’S ROOFTOP

A getting-ready space is also easy to overlook when picking a venue, but it shapes the first hour of photos more than almost anything else. A’BULAE gives each side of the wedding party its own separate room, instead of splitting one space down the middle. That means there’s enough room to actually get a wide shot without bumping into furniture or a rack of dresses. William and Gabrielle also stepped away to a nearby park for a few portraits, a reminder that you’re never limited to just your venue if you want more variety in your gallery.

St. Paul has no shortage of great wedding backdrops, and they don’t all look like A’Bulae’s rooftop. Steph + Jon’s St. Paul College Club wedding leaned into a completely different feel, a Georgian Revival mansion with an outdoor garden ceremony, and it’s worth a look if you’re drawn to something more classic and historic.

WILLIAM + GABRIELLE’S WEDDING DAY AT A’BULAE

As for William + Gabrielle, they started with separate getting-ready photos of the bride + groom, before they came together for their first look, then moved into the standard couples, wedding party, and family photos before time to rest + reset ahead of the ceremony. They said their vows on A’BULAE’s gorgeous rooftop, and from there the day picked up its own momentum: cocktail hour, marriage license signing, a grand march into dinner, cake cutting, and toasts. The night wrapped with dances and an open dance floor!! Check out the whole dreamy A’BULAE rooftop wedding day below!
