"I met Celisia a few years before I got married and always knew that I wanted to have her as my wedding photographer even though I don't live in Minnesota anymore. Celisia flew out to shoot my wedding in Washington,D.C. and I couldn't be happier with the results of the photos. I was impressed with her flexibility and commitment to providing us with the best experience and the best pictures. For starters it started pouring rain for our family photos and Celisia didn't blink an eye. She grabbed an umbrella and shot away. During the ceremony it seemed like she was everywhere at once. Photography has been part of my life since my sophomore year of high school in 2016. Over time, I have learned that the most meaningful images are rarely the perfectly posed ones. Instead, they are the documentary-style photos that bring you right back to how you felt in that moment. I married my high school sweetheart in May 2024, so I know first-hand how important it is to have every little memory preserved.
I believe all the little details carry just as much weight as the big moments because together they tell the full story of your day. It might be the way your veil lifts in the breeze, the tear your grandma wipes away, or the laughter you share with your favorite people during quiet in-between moments. These are the pieces that can slip by in the blur of a wedding day, yet they are often the ones that mean the most when you look back.

I’m married to a seriously kind and smart physics instructor, mom to a sweet little girl, and cat mom to two furry buddies who sleep on my pillow and beg for milk. I live in just about a half a block from my in-laws, which was unexpected at first but now is pretty cool.
I love all things photo, and when I am not at my 9-5 job (actually, it’s more like 7-3 so please send coffee), you can find me documenting weddings and hanging out with rad humans during their portrait sessions. I’m originally from small town Wisconsin but moved to the Twin Cities to pursue photography and haven’t looked back.

In a session with me, I lead with a directional approach. I give prompts to allow movement and cater to what you're comfortable with! I try to be a fly on the wall as best as I can so I can capture the in-between and candid moments. My vision tends to lean more toward documentary and storytelling than formal poses.
I am heavily inspired by films and rom-coms! I grew up in theatre and dance, watching 10 Things I Hate About You and How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days, classic movies, so naturally I know the language of yearning. Even when I am not photographing, I am typically creating. I love bullet journaling, dancing, and writing.
Finding your photographer, and especially your wedding photographer, is one of the most important decisions. A photographer will be around you for the entirety of your day. To me, photographing a wedding day is one of the biggest honors. I have been trusted with people's memories for over nine years now. I've been taking pictures since high school, and I photographed my first wedding at 19! I love photographing couples; it's why weddings are so special to me!

My passion for photography started when I was young! I loved taking pictures of EVERYTHING — from my family and friends to the beautiful mountains and gorgeous sunsets. I loved the memories that I was able to share and keep through my lens.
I started my own photography business in 2019 and worked hard to learn and grow in my craft while also going to school full-time. I got my degree in elementary education, so I’m a huge advocate for teachers and quality education for our kiddos.

Wedding days are an incredible milestone in any couple’s journey, and I feel so fortunate to document that celebration of love! I pride myself on being very easy going and friendly, and I’ve been known to hit it off with wedding guests and parents alike. At the end of the day you want someone who is bringing good energy into the room, and I try to do that wherever work takes me.
My priority is for you to feel comfortable and at ease in front of my camera. I’ll be there to give you direction when you need it, but I promise by the time we get our groove going, you’ll be having too much fun to even remember what you were nervous about.
When I’m not working you can catch me booking a flight, hitting the bike in a spin class, or sipping an aperol spritz. I love listening to podcasts while I edit and watching stand up comedy specials, and while I am no comedian, you can always count on a joke or two from me to keep things light during the day.
My partner and I love to travel, and so we usually have a couple trips on the books to feed that fire! She’s a full time social worker, which translates to a badass travel agent, so I can always count on her amazing internet scouring skills to find us the best deals. So when the wedding season winds down and the snow hits, I’ll be off to Bangkok or Barcelona to devour all of the amazing local foods and soak in the sun.

Weddings hold such a special place in my heart because I know firsthand how quickly the day flies by. There are so many little moments you don’t realize you’ll miss until it’s over , like not getting that photo with your parents, or catching a quiet glance that says everything without words.
That’s why I do what I do.
I love documenting the in-between moments, the different ways people show love, and the beautiful connection between two people stepping into their new chapter together. Every wedding reminds me that no two love stories look the same and that’s what makes them so magical.

No two weddings look the same, so no two packages do either. My pricing process starts with a free call where we talk through your priorities and what your day needs, then I put together a custom proposal with a few tailored options. In general, full-day wedding packages with me as lead photographer start at $4,500, associate weddings start at $3,200, and elopement or intimate packages are custom priced. If your celebration spans multiple days, multiple ceremonies, or doesn't follow a traditional single-day structure, I'd be happy to build a package around exactly what you need; just ask on our call. A $1,250 retainer is due at signing for full wedding packages, with the remaining balance due 90 days before your wedding (smaller packages have a smaller retainer, scaled to fit). But if that structure doesn't work for your timeline or budget, let me know on our call! I'm always happy to figure out something that actually fits your situation.

Every full wedding package includes 7-10 hours of coverage (or a structure built around your specific celebration if it spans multiple days), your full digital gallery, and a print release, so you're always free to print your photos anywhere you'd like, in addition to ordering directly through your gallery. Most packages also include a one-hour engagement session, along with my location suggestions and style guide to help you prepare. For weddings over 150 guests, or ones with a lot happening at once, I typically recommend adding a second shooter. They're a great insurance policy for the day, capturing the moment you both see each other down the aisle from two angles at once, and giving me an extra set of hands during high-pressure moments like family formals.

Great question! An associate photographer is someone I've personally hired and trained to shoot weddings under the CSP name, essentially another me on your wedding day. While every photographer brings their own eye to a moment, you can count on the exact same planning process, quality, and hands-on experience you'd get booking me directly. No matter who you're working with, everything leading up to your wedding, and everything after it, stays exactly the same. I'm still your main point of contact for planning and communication from booking through your wedding day, and every gallery gets edited by me personally, so the final result feels completely consistent with my work either way.
I created the associate program for two reasons: to give more couples access to the CSP experience at a range of price points, and to make sure that if I'm already booked on your date, or simply not available, you can still have that same experience with someone I trust completely. Getting there takes a hiring process I take seriously, one that checks for skill and for whether someone can give you that same warm, hands-on, inclusive experience CSP is known for. From there, I personally walk each associate through real wedding galleries, offering hands-on training on how I approach a day, the posing prompts I love, and anything else I think matters for capturing a CSP wedding well.

But here's the truth: being photogenic isn't a skill you either have or don't have. The difference between a photo where you're stiff and overthinking it, and one where you actually look and feel your best, almost always comes down to having a photographer who knows how to guide you. In sessions with me and my team, we will guide you exactly where to stand, tell you what to do with your hands, and give you prompts that spark real, genuine interaction instead of stiff, staged posing. Yes, always and wholeheartedly. I myself grew up the child of gay parents and experienced firsthand what it was like to have a family that wasn’t accepted in all spaces. It's a big part of why I care so much about every couple feeling completely comfortable being themselves in front of my camera. For me, that means more than just physically showing up on your day. It’s embedded in the actual details of how we work, starting well before your wedding. We’ll, of course, ask for pronouns upfront, and my whole team is trained to pose in ways that go beyond traditional Western bride-and-groom or boyfriend-girlfriend dynamics. I also ask about any sensitive family dynamics ahead of time, so we can navigate those with care and keep the day low-stress for everyone. At the end of the day, I just want you to look at your photos and see yourselves, not a version of your wedding that got smoothed over to fit somebody else's idea of what a wedding looks like.

I don't guarantee a specific number of photos, and that's intentional. My priority is capturing your day well, not hitting a quota, so I'd rather deliver the best images than pad your gallery with three near-identical shots of the same toast or cake cutting just to inflate the count. The only photos I leave out are true duplicates or ones that just didn't turn out (blurry, eyes closed, that kind of thing). I will say that most weddings land somewhere around 50-100 images per hour, but that's a byproduct of doing the job well, not the goal itself.

I'm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and most of my weddings and sessions happen right here in the Twin Cities, though I regularly travel up to Duluth, northern Minnesota, and parts of Wisconsin for weddings at cabins and lake venues. As a general rule, with very few exceptions, I don't release RAW or unedited images. Editing is such a core part of my style that an unedited photo just isn't a finished CSP photo, and I want every image you receive to feel consistent with the rest of your gallery. I know this is often a couple’s worst fear, which is why I have developed a thorough fallback plan to ensure your wedding has photography coverage no matter what. In the event of a major emergency, like hospitalization or death, I have a network of photographers I trust completely, many of them people I've personally trained as associates, who I can bring in to cover your day. You'd have a say in who that is, and I'd walk you through your timeline, your family situation, and everything else we've already planned together, so nothing gets lost in the handoff. Every photo would still come back to me for editing, so your final gallery would still feel like mine, consistent with everything else you've seen from CSP. This is one of the reasons I built the associate program the way I did: even in a worst-case scenario, you're never starting from scratch with a stranger.

For everyday prints, you can order right inside your digital gallery, color corrected to match exactly what you see online, and they'll ship straight to your door. If you'd rather go further, I also offer fully designed custom wedding albums, where I handle the entire layout myself so you're never stuck sifting through hundreds of photos trying to figure out what goes where. Adding one to your package comes with a discount, so it's worth asking about at booking. And if you'd rather print elsewhere entirely, that's totally fine too! Just know that most retail lab machines aren't calibrated the way professional labs are, so you might see your skin tones and colors shift a bit from what you saw in your gallery.

Your wedding photos exist in exactly one moment in time, so we take every possible step to make sure nothing puts them at risk. Every photographer on my team shoots with two cameras, a main and a backup, so if one fails mid-day, we're shooting again within seconds. Beyond that, each camera records to two memory cards at once, so every single photo is being saved in two places the instant it's taken. If one card ever fails or corrupts, and it does happen, the other one still has everything.
Once we're back from your wedding, the redundancy doesn't stop there. Your photos get backed up to a physical hard drive and to a cloud backup system, so even after the cards have done their job, there are still multiple independent copies of your gallery. I built this system after hearing about enough close calls over the years to know that "probably fine" isn't good enough for something you only get once. So while I hope you never think about any of this again after reading it, I want you to know that if anything unexpected happens, your photos are protected.

No two weddings look the same, so no two packages do either. My pricing process starts with a free call where we talk through your priorities and what your day needs, then I put together a custom proposal with a few tailored options. In general, full-day wedding packages with me as lead photographer start at $4,500, associate weddings start at $3,200, and elopement or intimate packages are custom priced. If your celebration spans multiple days, multiple ceremonies, or doesn't follow a traditional single-day structure, I'd be happy to build a package around exactly what you need; just ask on our call. A $1,250 retainer is due at signing for full wedding packages, with the remaining balance due 90 days before your wedding (smaller packages have a smaller retainer, scaled to fit). Every full wedding package includes 7-10 hours of coverage (or a structure built around your specific celebration if it spans multiple days), your full digital gallery, and a print release, so you're always free to print your photos anywhere you'd like, in addition to ordering directly through your gallery. Most packages also include a one-hour engagement session, along with my location suggestions and style guide to help you prepare. For weddings over 150 guests, or ones with a lot happening at once, I typically recommend adding a second shooter. They're a great insurance policy for the day, capturing the moment you both see each other down the aisle from two angles at once, and giving me an extra set of hands during high-pressure moments like family formals.

Great question! An associate photographer is someone I've personally hired and trained to shoot weddings under the CSP name, essentially another me on your wedding day. While every photographer brings their own eye to a moment, you can count on the exact same planning process, quality, and hands-on experience you'd get booking me directly. No matter who you're working with, everything leading up to your wedding, and everything after it, stays exactly the same. I'm still your main point of contact for planning and communication from booking through your wedding day, and every gallery gets edited by me personally, so the final result feels completely consistent with my work either way.
I created the associate program for two reasons: to give more couples access to the CSP experience at a range of price points, and to make sure that if I'm already booked on your date, or simply not available, you can still have that same experience with someone I trust completely. Getting there takes a hiring process I take seriously, one that checks for skill and for whether someone can give you that same warm, hands-on, inclusive experience CSP is known for. From there, I personally walk each associate through real wedding galleries, offering hands-on training on how I approach a day, the posing prompts I love, and anything else I think matters for capturing a CSP wedding well.

But here's the truth: being photogenic isn't a skill you either have or don't have. The difference between a photo where you're stiff and overthinking it, and one where you actually look and feel your best, almost always comes down to having a photographer who knows how to guide you. Yes, always and wholeheartedly. I myself grew up the child of gay parents and experienced firsthand what it was like to have a family that wasn’t accepted in all spaces. It's a big part of why I care so much about every couple feeling completely comfortable being themselves in front of my camera. For me, that means more than just physically showing up on your day. It’s embedded in the actual details of how we work, starting well before your wedding. We’ll, of course, ask for pronouns upfront, and my whole team is trained to pose in ways that go beyond traditional Western bride-and-groom or boyfriend-girlfriend dynamics. I also ask about any sensitive family dynamics ahead of time, so we can navigate those with care and keep the day low-stress for everyone. I don't guarantee a specific number of photos, and that's intentional. My priority is capturing your day well, not hitting a quota, so I'd rather deliver the best images than pad your gallery with three near-identical shots of the same toast or cake cutting just to inflate the count. The only photos I leave out are true duplicates or ones that just didn't turn out (blurry, eyes closed, that kind of thing). I will say that most weddings land somewhere around 50-100 images per hour, but that's a byproduct of doing the job well, not the goal itself.

Absolutely!! It's often the very first moment I get to be part of your story before the wedding planning even begins. I'll work with you ahead of time on the details, then hide out of sight to capture the real, unscripted reaction when it happens. From there, we move right into a relaxed engagement-style session together. A lot of my proposal clients end up booking me for their wedding down the line too, which honestly might be my favorite part of this job, getting to be there from the very beginning.

I'm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and most of my weddings and sessions happen right here in the Twin Cities, though I regularly travel up to Duluth, northern Minnesota, and parts of Wisconsin for weddings at cabins and lake venues. If your celebration is further out than that, I'm still absolutely open to it. As a general rule, with very few exceptions, I don't release RAW or unedited images. Editing is such a core part of my style that an unedited photo just isn't a finished CSP photo, and I want every image you receive to feel consistent with the rest of your gallery. I promise I'll only ever set aside the blurry, unusable, or duplicate shots. Everything else is yours, fully edited and ready to be your final gallery.

I know this is often a couple’s worst fear, which is why I have developed a thorough fallback plan to ensure your wedding has photography coverage no matter what. In the event of a major emergency, like hospitalization or death, I have a network of photographers I trust completely, many of them people I've personally trained as associates, who I can bring in to cover your day. You'd have a say in who that is, and I'd walk you through your timeline, your family situation, and everything else we've already planned together, so nothing gets lost in the handoff. Every photo would still come back to me for editing, so your final gallery would still feel like mine, consistent with everything else you've seen from CSP. This is one of the reasons I built the associate program the way I did: even in a worst-case scenario, you're never starting from scratch with a stranger.

Your wedding photos exist in exactly one moment in time, so we take every possible step to make sure nothing puts them at risk. Every photographer on my team shoots with two cameras, a main and a backup, so if one fails mid-day, we're shooting again within seconds. Beyond that, each camera records to two memory cards at once, so every single photo is being saved in two places the instant it's taken. If one card ever fails or corrupts, and it does happen, the other one still has everything.
Once we're back from your wedding, the redundancy doesn't stop there. Your photos get backed up to a physical hard drive and to a cloud backup system, so even after the cards have done their job, there are still multiple independent copies of your gallery. I built this system after hearing about enough close calls over the years to know that "probably fine" isn't good enough for something you only get once. So while I hope you never think about any of this again after reading it, I want you to know that if anything unexpected happens, your photos are protected.

For everyday prints, you can order right inside your digital gallery, color-corrected to match exactly what you see online, and they'll ship straight to your door. If you'd rather go further, I also offer fully designed custom wedding albums, where I handle the entire layout myself so you're never stuck sifting through hundreds of photos trying to figure out what goes where. Adding one to your package comes with a discount, so it's worth asking about at booking. And if you'd rather print elsewhere entirely, that's totally fine too! Just know that most retail lab machines aren't calibrated the way professional labs are, so you might see your skin tones and colors shift a bit from what you saw in your gallery.

Seeing what you're drawn to helps me understand your style before we even meet. I won't recreate someone else's exact shot pose for pose, though, and honestly, that's not what you're hiring me for anyway. You're hiring me because you like how I see and shoot a wedding, so I'll take what inspires you and shoot it the way I actually shoot, which almost always turns out better than a copy ever could.
