From a Jungle Rave sangeet and a baraat to both a Hindu and a Christian ceremony, Aarushi + Shane covered it all during their three-day Mosaic Venue and Lumber Exchange wedding in Minneapolis. After 10 years together, the pair needed a whole weekend to fit everything in.
Aarushi and Shane are a perfect match and share plenty of the same passions! They’re both avid bodybuilders and cooks, and they’re also active foster parents of American Bully dogs through Warrior Dog Rescue, helping pups during their transition into their forever homes. Always up for an adventure, the two love dancing and traveling whenever they get the chance. In fact, Aarushi has formal dance training, so she made sure their first dance included its fair share of beautiful lifts and dips!
For many of my clients, one day of photography just isn’t enough to capture everything that makes their celebration special. Weddings often unfold over multiple days, think welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, or relaxed post-wedding brunches, and for many cultures, multi-day celebrations are the heart of the experience!
I love working with couples to build a photography timeline that reflects the full flow of their weekend. For multi-day celebrations, I offer custom packages with a set number of photography hours to use across the entire event, so you can divide the time however it makes the most sense for your plans. It keeps things flexible as timelines evolve and helps ensure all the moments that matter most are documented. If you’re planning a multi-day celebration and want to talk through a custom timeline, I’d love to hear about your weekend — reach out here.
Aarushi + Shane’s wedding weekend kicked off Thursday night at the historic Lumber Exchange in downtown Minneapolis with dinner and Sangeet performances, followed by an open dance floor, of course.
Day two moved to Mosaic Venue, starting with getting-ready photos before the baraat and Hindu ceremony. This day also included Joota Chupai, a playful tradition where the bride’s side steals the groom’s shoes and he has to complete dares or bargain to get them back.
The wedding weekend wrapped up with a third and final full day on Saturday. We started with the finishing touches of both Aarushi and Shane getting ready before heading to their first look on the gorgeous marble staircase at the Lumber Exchange. From there, the day continued with a Christian ceremony, followed by a receiving line, family photos, and, of course, a full wedding reception.
