How long have you been a photographer?

I have been setting up photoshoots with my little sister and my friends since elementary school, but have had my photography business for just over 10 years!

Tell us about your journey in photography so far! How long have you been a photographer? How many weddings have you shot? What have you learned along the way?

I was always the friend in middle school who brought a camera along on all of our outings and ended up with hundreds of photos! I love that I’ve been able to turn that passion of capturing moments into a career. I’ve shot over 80 weddings and have learned how important the small in-between moments are on a wedding day. 

What’s your favorite part of being an associate for Celisia Stanton Photography?

I am so excited to get to serve even more couples and learn from Celisia!

What’s your favorite part of a wedding day to capture?

While every wedding day is different, my favorite part is taking pictures of the couple after the ceremony! Since the big part of the day is done, they are so much more relaxed and love having a moment to spend together before the rest of the celebration!

What’s your go-to wedding day advice for soon-to-be-married couples?

Do what you want to do on your wedding day! If there are traditions that you don’t feel fit you as a couple, you don’t need to include them! Want to skip the florals and just have a ton of candles? Do it! Would you rather get ready together as a couple instead of separately so you can spend more time together in the morning? Make it happen! 

What would you say to a couple who is nervous about having their picture taken?

I’ve got you! We will make it super fun and natural and you’ll just feel like you’re on a date and I’m tagging along. 😉 I’ll guide you through what to do and give you prompts to make sure you are comfortable!

Are you a cat person, a dog person, or neither? Why?

Both!! I will always be the one kneeling on the ground to give allllll the pets and end up covered in cat or dog hair, haha.
