Celebrating on the dreamy A’BULAE rooftop for William + Gabrielle’s wedding was like a fairy tale! These two love birds both grew up in the Twin Cities metro and started their love story after both swiping right in 2016. They quickly fell in love after their first coffee date, and William eventually proposed over dinner on their 5th anniversary. William and Gabrielle both love live music, brewery dates, traveling, and binge-watching Insecure and Euphoria. William loves Gabrielle’s tendency to build pillow fortresses when she lies in bed, and Gabrielle is always impressed by William’s ability to accurately impersonate singers (his impression of Hootie and the Blowfish is her favorite). 

When planning your couples, wedding party, and family photos, remember that you don’t have to be limited to your venue. In many cases, it can be fun to explore the area around your venue to get a wide variety of outdoor shots. For William + Gabrielle, that meant wandering to a nearby park in addition to photos on the A’BULAE rooftop. Something I love so much about Minneapolis and St. Paul, is there are so many great parks, bodies of water, and gorgeous buildings within walking distance of most venues. I recommend exploring the area around your venue ahead of your wedding day to see all of your options! Their day of photography started with separate getting-ready photos of the bride + groom, before they came together for their first look. Next came the standard couples, wedding party, and family photos before time to rest + reset ahead of the ceremony. William + Gabrielle held their ceremony on A’BULAE’s gorgeous rooftop. Next came the cocktail hour, while William + Gabrielle signed their marriage license as a new couple!! Their DJ welcomed them in a grand march before dinner, cake cutting, and toasts.
